If you have some larger items you’ve been meaning to dispose of, the first of four opportunities to do so is coming up this weekend in Fayetteville.

City officials will host the first spring bulky waste cleanup event of this season on Saturday, April 2 at two locations in Fayetteville.

Crews will accept bulky items that are too large to fit into regular trash bins from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Holcomb Elementary, 2900 N. Salem Road, and at the Recycling & Trash Collection Facility, 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road).

Residents are asked to bring a copy of a recent water bill to verify Fayetteville residency.

There are limitations on what can be accepted at the cleanups.

Household hazardous waste (HHW) materials will not be accepted at the spring events. Those items, however, can be dropped off at the HHW Drop-off Trailer at South Happy Hollow Road and 15th Street each Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Electronic waste will be accepted on all four bulky waste cleanup dates, but only at the Recycling and Trash Collection facility.

Detailed information on what is accepted can be found on the city’s website at https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/bulkywaste.

The full schedule of cleanup events schedule for spring 2022 is below.
