Best Friends Animal Society of Northwest Arkansas will host two group hikes where people are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends.
The first hike is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2 at Mount Kessler in Fayetteville. Participants should pass the first parking lot and continue down the main road and park in the spaces between the baseball fields and the tennis courts. The group will meet at the main trailhead, and the hike is estimated to last between an hour and a half to two hours.
The second hike is set for 4 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at Devil’s Den State Park, and will start at the Yellow Rock trailhead.
Hikes will be led by Rebecca Beyer, a Best Friends foster and volunteer.
Attendees can meet other dog lovers in the area, explore the local trails and learn about the services that Best Friends provides to the community.
