Do you like joy? How about dancing away about two years worth of stress in a single night? Wanna see a bunch of awesome folks you haven’t seen in a while?

If you said ‘yes’ three times, you might be interested to know that Maxine’s Tap Room is bringing excellent New Orleans-style group Soul Brass Band to town for a performance on Wednesday, April 6.

Here’s the description of the band, from their website.

Soul Brass Band is exactly what it needs to be: a great New Orleans Brass Band steeped in tradition that also plays the perfect party. Day after day in New Orleans, this all-star lineup is called upon for its top-flight traditional Brass Band repertoire and Second line Parades; and then night after night, they’re called upon again for frontman Derrick Freeman’s signature brass band infusion of classic Soul.

It’s only the second live show at the venue in the last couple years due to the pandemic, but it sure feels like another step toward the live music scene in Fayetteville returning to its full health.

There’s no cover or tickets needed for the show. It starts at 7:30 p.m.
