Gulley Park Summer Concert Series returns on June 9

The 26th annual Gulley Park Summer Concert Series kicks off on Thursday, June 9 with Americana trio Route 358.

After that, Texas quartet Blue Water Highway will perform on June 16, followed by Oklahoma-based King Cabbage Brass Band on June 23, Top 40s party band Funk Factory on June 30, Minnesota bluegrass band Pert Near Sandstone on July 7, and singer-songwriter Brennen Leigh on July 14.

For those unfamiliar, the concert series is organized by the city’s Parks & Recreation Department, and features free outdoor live music with plenty of room for picnic blankets and lawn chairs throughout the fields surrounding the gazebo stage at Gulley Park in east Fayetteville.

The music starts at 7 p.m., and the concerts are free and open to the public. Coolers are welcome for those who’d like to pack snacks or dinner, but food vendors are also usually set up around the park.
