A beloved local duo will play a free show in Fayetteville next month.

Local band Trout Fishing in America will perform at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 as part of Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere Festival.

Update: This show has been moved to Walton Arts Center due to soggy conditions.

If you’ve grown up in or around Fayetteville, you’ve no doubt experienced the band, made up of longtime local musicians Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. The multi-instrumentalists have delighted audiences in NWA and around the country for more than 4 decades. They’ve been nominated for 4 Grammy Awards, and have released over two dozen studio and live records of music for families and adults over the years, including their latest release Safe House that came out on April 22 of this year.

The new album, featuring 13 new songs, is available for purchase for $15 on their website.

The performance on May 4 is free, but does require reservations.
