This weekend in Fayetteville is so packed with things to do, you’re going to have to leave work on Friday to get to it all. Sorry, bosses.
There’s a crawfish boil at 3 p.m. at the Yvonne Richardson Center. Admission is $10 for all you can eat, and the proceeds benefit the center. Here’s more info.
Happy hour starts at at 6 p.m. at George’s, and locals Brick Fields will be performing along with a 90s tribute band called Gone Country to kick things off this weekend.
There’s also an early show in the cottage circle at Mount Sequoyah Center with songwriters Shannon Wurst and Brad Helms. This one starts at about 6:30 p.m. Here’s ticket info.
On Friday night, country artists Tim McGraw, Russell Dickerson, Alexandra Kay and Brandon Davis will be performing at the second Walmart AMP show of the season Friday night.
Also in Friday night tunes, there’s jazz at the Walton Arts Center with Mingus Big Band. Here’s ticket info.
If you’d rather see a play this weekend, TheatreSquared has you covered with their latest hit, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity. There are a few chances to see it this weekend. Here’s the schedule.
How about some sports? The No. 6 ranked Arkansas softball team is taking on South Carolina for a series at Bogle Park this weekend, kicking off at 6 p.m. on Friday night. They’ve been on fire lately. The Diamond Hogs baseball team is also in town for a show this weekend, taking on the Ole Miss Rebels. That series kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night.
On Saturday, there’s a gigantic local art, crafts, and goods show at Mount Sequoyah Center. It’s called the NWA Makers Spring Market, organized by the NWA Makers club, and there are expected to be over 100 artists and crafters participating in the show. Here’s more info.
Also in Saturday daytime fun, there’s a pub crawl you can take your dog to on Dickson Street Saturday night. It’s called The Dickson Street Pup Crawl, and proceeds from the event benefit the Fayetteville Animal Shelter. Hopefully you already have your tickets for this one, as it’s totally sold out.
There’s music on Saturday night as well, with the UA’s Springtime of Youth concert happening at Bud Walton Arena featuring Dominic Fike, Princess Nokia, DJ San Holo, and Between Friends. Here’s more about that.
JJ’s Live has a show on Saturday night as well with country act, Wheeler Walker. Tickets are here.
There’s also a local show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern on Saturday night with locals Moonsong, The Salesman, and Moldilocks.
If you missed the Friday crawfish boil that started all this this weekend, there’s another one at Kingfish on Sunday. This one includes music by DJ Cudcareless, Jenna & Martin, and TIMEWAVEZERO.
There’s even more below. Have fun, buddies.
