The Mid-America Arts Alliance is seeking nominations for its annual Creative Impact Award which provides $25,000 to one local artist that has shown to be an exceptional contributor and nurturer of the region’s cultural ecosystem.

The award is part of the alliance’s annual Artists 360 program, a Walton Family Foundation-supported initiative aimed at identifying and elevating the Northwest Arkansas area’s leading artists.

Each year the program provides grants of $7,500 to 14 practicing professional artists, and $1,500 grants to six student artists. It also provides five annual $15,000 Community Activator Grants for artists or artist-led collectives, and a $25,000 Creative Impact Award to an individual artist in the region.

Local artist Sharon Killian was the inaugural recipient of the larger award in 2021.
