If you have some larger items you’ve been meaning to dispose of, the final chance to do so this spring is coming up this weekend in Fayetteville.

City officials will host the last spring bulky waste cleanup event of this season on Saturday, May 14 at two locations in Fayetteville.

Crews will accept bulky items that are too large to fit into regular trash bins from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church (764 W. North Street) and at the Recycling & Trash Collection Facility (1560 S. Happy Hollow Road).

Residents are asked to bring a copy of a recent water bill to verify Fayetteville residency.

There are limitations on what can be accepted at the cleanups.

Household hazardous waste (HHW) materials will not be accepted at the spring events. Those items, however, can be dropped off at the HHW Drop-off Trailer at South Happy Hollow Road and 15th Street each Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Electronic waste will be accepted on all four bulky waste cleanup dates, but only at the Recycling and Trash Collection facility.

Detailed information on what is accepted can be found on the city’s website at https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/bulkywaste.
