Who’s ready for a party at the library?

Fayetteville Public Library will celebrate the beginning of its summer reading club with the annual kickoff party from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.

This year’s event will include a host of family-friendly activities, including bounce houses, face painting, stilt walkers, juggling, bubbles, games and food on the library’s new Gathering Glade on the west side of the campus.

In addition, there will be performances in the new art and movement rooming, including the Pacific Island Dancers at 11 a.m., followed by the Ozark Ballet Theater at 12 p.m.

Other activities include an appearance by the Fayetteville Fire Department and fire dog, Ember, face painting, airbrush tattoos, arcade games, story time, and more.

The theme for this year’s event is “Oceans of Possibilities.”

The library will also be enrolling for the annual summer reading program, which encourages children, teens and adults to keep reading during the summer months.
