It looks like Fourth of July is happening early this year. Or twice.

Not really, but you can get a taste of the holiday in Fayetteville with a professional fireworks display planned for 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 over Razorback Stadium.

The display is part of the annual Walmart Shareholders Meeting happening this week. Walmart held their official shareholders meeting virtually today (June 1), and in addition to the fireworks event on Thursday, officials are also planning to bring back their Friday celebration gathering of associates from around the world on Friday, June 3 at Bud Walton Arena.

City of Fayetteville officials said that the stadium is not open for public attendance for the fireworks display, however, they wanted residents to be aware of the display in order to “make accommodations for individuals and animals affected by fireworks displays.”

City officials said the display is designed to be visible to a large area surrounding the stadium, however.
