New art exhibit ‘Queer’ opens June 2 at Fenix Arts

A new art exhibit featuring LGBTQIA+ artists opens June 2 in Fayetteville.

The exhibit, called “Queer,” is juried by Brad Cushman and will be display through July at Fenix Arts on Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville.

The show features work by 23 artists, including Joshua Brinlee, John Rankie, and many others. It includes drawings, paintings, mixed media work, photography, and more.

The show opens with a reception from 5-8 p.m. on June 2, and will include discussions from 6-8 p.m. on June 3 featuring artists with work in the show. Both the opening reception and the artists’ talks are free to attend and open to the public.

Fenix Fayetteville is located inside Miller Lodge at Mount Sequoyah Center (150 N. Skyline Drive in Fayetteville).

Gallery hours at Fenix Fayetteville are 1-5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and from 12-6 p.m. Saturday.
