This weekend starts with local legends, The Cate Brothers, who will be kicking things off at George’s for Happy Hour. Later on Friday night, 90s tribute The Mixtapes will perform, and local bluegrass favs Arkansauce will be back on stage on Saturday night. George’s also has a Sunday show with Sam Albright & The Summer Heat and Cole Birmingham Band.
A two-day festival celebrating female DJs from around the region is set for Friday and Saturday night at Prairie Street Live. It’s called Her Set Her Sound. Here’s more info about that, including the schedule of performances.
JJ’s Live also has a big show this weekend with indie pop outfit, The Band Camino. Here’s ticket info.

How about a party at the library? Fayetteville Pubic Library will be kicking off their summer reading program this weekend with a party on Saturday. This year’s event will include a host of family-friendly activities, including bounce houses, face painting, stilt walkers, juggling, bubbles, games and food on the library’s new Gathering Glade on the west side of the campus.
