Jersey Mike’s sets grand opening date in Fayetteville

A new Jersey Mike’s restaurant that was first announced last summer will open this month in Fayetteville.

The new fast-casual sandwich shop is set to open Wednesday, July 20 at 160 E. Joyce Blvd. next to Guitar Center, according to a news release.

It will be the first Jersey Mike’s in Fayetteville, but the company does have nearby locations in Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.

Franchise owner Nick Morgan had first hoped to open in December, but those plans were delayed. Morgan said he’s ready to finally unveil the Fayetteville location.

“We are excited to be in Fayetteville,” Morgan said in a statement. “We chose this location as we felt it is the perfect spot to serve our Jersey Mike’s fans in the greater Fayetteville area.”

The restaurant focuses on fresh-sliced meats and cheeses on in-store baked bread.

Jersey Mike’s was named one of the fastest-growing chains in the country by Nation’s Restaurant News. The company currently has more than 2,200 locations open with several hundred in development.

The new Fayetteville restaurant will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
