Hope y’all are staying hydrated and wearing your sunscreen.

It’s Friday, and that means there’s a happy hour show at George’s after work. This week, locals Jeff Horton Band will do the honors. Later on Friday, there’s a bluegrass show with Hillbenders and Eureka Strings. On Saturday night, local promoter D. Sewell will host a celebration of R&B and Hip Hop at the venue, and on Sunday, George’s will host a rock show with Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Attack Attack, Kingdom Collapse and Astoria State.

It’s probably the best weekend of the year for wine lovers in Fayetteville. Walton Arts Center will host the annual Art of Wine festival, featuring the Uncorked tasting event on Friday night. Proceeds from the event benefit the center’s educational programming. Learn more here.

Also this weekend, Mount Sequoyah Center will host the second annual Chamber Music on the Mountain festival with a few performances scheduled in the coming days. Here’s more info about that.

Maine songwriter and frequent Fayetteville visitor in recent years Slaid Cleaves is back in town for a show at Fayetteville Roots HQ on the square. Slaid has been writings for more than 25 years, and is one of the best in the biz. Here’s more info on that event.

Prairie Street Live has a show this weekend, with locals Skye Pollard & Family Holler and Woody & Sunshine performing on Friday night.

Smoke & Barrel Tavern has a couple shows this weekend as well, with Protohive and Tao of Lucy on Friday, and pop-punk band Matressi on Saturday.

There’s a free show at Fayetteville Public Library on Sunday, as their Mountain Street Stage series continues with Western Swing Rules Band at 2 p.m.

There’s plenty more below. Have a great weekend, everyone.
