A portion of Old Missouri Road is closed between Joyce Boulevard and Stearns Street while crews work to install new storm pipe as part of a private development project.

The road is scheduled to be closed through Wednesday, Aug. 3, according to a news release.

As part of the work on a new apartment project, the developer is being required to provide street improvements along the property’s road frontage. Those improvements include a parallel parking lane, storm drainage, curb and gutter and sidewalk installation. The project also includes resurfacing of the southbound lane of Old Missouri Road.

The project also requires closing a portion of Zion Road between Vantage Drive and Old Missouri Road.

Detour signs will redirect eastbound traffic to Joyce via Vantage, according to the release.
