Why is composting important? A large percentage of what we throw away is food waste, leading to unnecessary growth of landfills. When surrounded by plastics, styrofoam, and other non-compostable items in the landfill, food waste does not properly decompose. It produces methane, a greenhouse gas even more potent and harmful than carbon dioxide. By composting, we allow the natural process of decomposition to occur. The byproduct of food waste is nutrient rich soil that can be used by farmers and gardeners who grow our food.

Ozark Compost offers weekly or bi-weekly pick up options, depending on your household needs. A five gallon bucket, lined with a compostable bag, will be dropped on your doorstep. You fill the bucket with food waste and other compostable items. On your designatated pick up day, place your bucket on your doorstep and it will be swapped out for a clean bucket. Text message reminders are sent the night before and day-of your bucket pick up.

In addition to composting, Ozark Compost offers freshly roasted Airship coffee beans delivered to your doorstep. Reusable airtight canisters are utilized to keep 500 grams of coffee beans fresh, while eliminating single-use packaging. Choose from a variety of coffee and espresso bean blends on a one-time purchase or reoccuring subscription basis. A win-win…coffee grounds are a great addition to your compost bucket!
To eliminate single-use plastics from homes, Ozark Compost offers eco-friendly zero waste products. Choose from a variety of cleaning products such as laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, all purpose and granite cleaner. Products are delivered to your doorstep in glass bottles. When you have finshed the cleaner, place the empty bottle on your doorstep on your compost pick up day. Ozark Compost will pick up the bottle, wash and reuse.
