3 things to do at the Momentary this August

Summer may be winding down, but the Momentary’s lineup of events is not. From live music concerts to performance and contemporary art, these are the top three things to do at the Momentary this August:

  1. A musical art lecture on landscapes: We invite you to join us for the premiere of multimedia performance work Paulownia (a musical art lecture on landscapes), created and performed by James Harrison Monaco. Paulownia is an experiment in musical storytelling that combines music and essay into a single, boundary-defying exploration of art and culture. Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7, times vary. Learn more and get tickets.
  2. Free live music concerts: Enjoy free music concerts all month long outside on the Momentary Green and the Arvest Bank Courtyard. This August, the space’s Free Fridays on the Green series brings CARM and Willi Carlisle to the stage. On select Sunday afternoons, enjoy Courtyard Sessions, bringing the best new artists in Northwest Arkansas to you.
  3. A “collision” of art and performance: What do you get when you bring together eight different artists, each a master of their own practice, and let their visions combine in a night of never-before-seen performances? COLLISION—and it is spectacular. Presented in partnership with CACHE, this collaborative performance experience invites eight local artists to create and perform together for one night only: Saturday, August 27, 5 to 9 p.m. This event is free.
