Weekend Flyer: Willi Carlisle album release, Tontitown Grape Festival, Arkansauce, and more

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Friday, Aug 5, 2022

We’ve had a bunch of technical problems this week, so thanks for bearing with us, everyone. After all that, we could really use a weekend ourselves.

Longtime local party bands Ultra Suede and The Hardtops will kick things off at George’s for happy hour. Later on, local songwriter Willie Carlisle will celebrate the release of his new album Peculiar, Missouri on Friday night with country artist Dylan Earl also on the bill. On Saturday, local rockers The Red Lens will take the stage.

Kingfish also has music this weekend, with Magolia Brown on Friday night, Neon Flight on Saturday, and Flipoff Pirates on Sunday night in the backyard.

On Mount Sequoyah, local folk band Route 358 will perform as part of their Music on the Mountain Series Friday night. It’s a 6:30 p.m. show.

If you feel like a carnival, country music, or chicken spaghetti, your best (only?) bet is probably the Tontitown Grape Festival in Tontitown. Here’s more info about that, including their weekend schedule.

Up north, local bluegrass heroes Arkansauce are playing the Railyard Park in Rogers on Friday night, and that save venue has a Pink Floyd Tribute on Saturday night.

There’s more below. Have a good weekend, everyone.
