Boulders & Brews climbing gym, coffee shop to open in Fayetteville

Boulders & Brews (Flyer staff)

A new place to do some rock climbing and grab a coffee will soon open in Fayetteville.

Boulders & Brews is now under construction at 612 W. Dickson St., in the space formerly home to Clubhaus Fitness.

The project was created by partners Tres Jennings, Jason Lam, Fallon Cardoza, and Patrick Randall who wanted to open a rock climbing facility “for climbers, by climbers.”

From the (now closed) IndieGoGo site announcing the project:

Boulders and Brews will be an all-inclusive bouldering gym nestled in the heart of Northwest Arkansas. As founders, Tres Jennings and Jason Lam have one vision: provide a premier indoor rock climbing facility that embodies the climbing atmosphere with an open, welcoming environment for new climbers. Our mission is to grow the Northwest Arkansas climbing community and help climbers of all skills get better!

According to the site, the new climbing gym will include about 3,000 square feet of climbing wall space, along with a training room and cafe.

The climbing section will include slabs, vertical faces, and overhangs, the owners said, along with a training area for working with Kilter board and spray board.

In addition, the training room will have a weight training area, and a room for yoga, CrossFit, and other fitness classes.

The cafe area will serve coffee, and according to Tres who reached out to us via Instagram, beer after a climb will be on a BYOB basis.

A few renderings of the interior of the gym are available on the company’s Instagram page.

If all goes well, the new place will open sometime this fall.
