The Arkansas Times and the Arkansas Cannabis Industry Association will host the Medical Marijuana and CBD Wellness Expo August 27th at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center in Springdale.

The event will feature an exhibit hall with booths from many of the state’s dispensaries, CBD companies and doctors focused on the use of medical marijuana to treat a variety of symptoms. Businesses represented in the exhibit hall will have representatives on hand to talk about their products and answer questions.

The event will also feature discussion sessions with industry leaders from cultivation facilities, dispensaries, processors, regulatory agencies and more. Many discussions will examine the status and impact of the Arkansas Adult Use Cannabis Amendment, a recreational marijuana amendment that has been placed on the November ballot provisionally. The Supreme Court will decide in the coming months if the votes on the measure should be counted.

Tickets for the event are $10 and include lunch. They are available at centralarkansastickets.com.

On Saturday, Brian Nichol, MD of Interventional Pain Consultants will speak on “A Quick Guide to Using Medical Cannabis” and Trevor Swedenburg of Natural State Medicinals will perform a THC cooking demonstration (using CBD, of course). Eddie Armstrong & Steve Lancaster, chair of Responsible Growth Arkansas and lawyer with Wright Lindsey Jennings representing the recreational marijuana amendment, will speak on the amendment’s potential impact on the state.

The ReLeaf Center Dispensary and Farm, Good Day Farms and Face2Face Therapy will have breakout sessions on Saturday. Lunch is FREE with entry to the event. Panel participants and exhibitors include: Purspirit Cannabis Co, Healing Hemp of Arkansas, CBD & Me, Ozark MMJ Cards, The Source, Ouachita Farms, Liberty Defense Group, Osage Creek Dispensary, Enlightened Dispensaries, AA Analytics, Frost, PLLC, HypnosVR, Wright Lindsey Jennings and Arkansas NORML.
