The Fayetteville Roots Festival is set to return for another year with live music and culinary events at several locations around town.

The musical lineup features about two dozen acts for this year’s festival, set for Aug. 25-27.

Aside from big-name artists like The Wood Brothers, Taj Mahal, Bettye Lavette and the North Mississippi Allstars, the event will also present one of the most delicious weekends of the year with food prepared by 28 local, regional, and nationally-known chefs.

The festival will take place at the Fayetteville Town Center and the Roots HQ on the Avenue outdoor space on the downtown square.

The Town Center venue will include indoor, primarily seated sections, while the Roots HQ stage is outdoors with table seating and an area for standing or dancing.

For those without tickets to the mainstage shows, there are still plenty of free opportunities to enjoy the event, including offerings at the Fayetteville Public Library’s new event center. Other community venues hosting events include Maxine’s Tap Room and Ozark Natural Foods.
