The Lake Fayetteville Watershed Partnership and City of Fayetteville will host their annual watershed clean-up event this month.

The event will take place beginning at the Lake Fayetteville Environmental Study Center, located at 511 E. Lakeview Drive in Springdale, beginning at 9 a.m. on Sautrday, Sept. 17.

The cleanup will focus on areas throughout the park and along the banks of the lake where trash is tough to reach, officials said.

Volunteers should check-in and pick up cleanup supplies at the environmental study center. Parking is limited, and carpooling, biking, or walking is encouraged.

A limited supply of kayaks and canoes will be available for those who’d like to work in the water, and volunteers may also bring their own boats.

Cleanup supplies and light snacks will be provided.
