A new fall Friday tradition will continue this week in the city’s new outdoor public space.

City officials this week announced their new series called “Fall Fridays in the Ramble” will return on Friday, Sept. 30 with a performance by folk duo Arlan & The Professor in the newly completed Lower Ramble outdoor area, located just southwest of the Fayetteville Public Library.

City officials last month celebrated the opening of the new area, the first completed section of The Ramble, the city’s new voter-approved $31.6 million arts corridor. The first part of the project converted the wooded area between West and Gregg avenues into a nature attraction with trails, elevated walkways, an overlook, native landscaping and a variety of seating areas. The work also included restoration of the creek, removal of invasive species, and improved access to the Razorback Greenway from the library.

Nearby parking is available nearby at Fayetteville Public Library, and a path from West Avenue leads down to the Lower Ramble area.

Fall Fridays in the Ramble is free to attend, and open to the public. The event is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
