Weekend Flyer: Justin Moore, The Cate Brothers, Hillberry, Hogs-Tide, and more

Who’s ready for another Razorback home game weekend? This time, the No. 2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide are coming to town to take on the No. 20 ranked Hogs, and after the loss to Texas A&M last week, wouldn’t it just be the most Arkansas thing ever if the Hogs beat the Tide this weekend? Crazier things have happened. Go Hogs.

Local legends The Cate Brothers are back in their favorite place, the happy hour stage at George’s Majestic Lounge on Friday night. Later on, local party dudes Boom Kinetic will play the pre-Alabama game party, followed by Texas country act Pat Green on Saturday, and a metal show with Eye Hate God, Deadbird, and others on Sunday.

Also Friday evening, the city will sponsor a new event called Fall Fridays in the Ramble with live music by Arlan & The Professor. It starts at 4:30 p.m.

Music on the Mountain at Mount Sequoyah Center is back, and Friday night local songwriter Kalyn Fay will play the outdoor stage in the cottage circle. Music begins at 6:30 p.m.

Smoke & Barrel has a couple shows this weekend, with Various Blonde, Formals and RINGS on Friday, and more rock with The Salesman, Protohive and TV Preacher on Saturday.

Country artist Justin Moore will play a Razorback Foundation benefit Friday night at JJ’s Live.

The 2022 Walmart AMP season is winding down, but not before country rockers Koe Wetzel, Aaron Lewis, and Kolby Cooper play the big stage up in Rogers this weekend. Here’s ticket info, and details on the remaining shows this year.

How about a couple running events? The annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival is happening on Saturday morning in Fayetteville, and the Razorback Run is on Sunday. Here’s a bit more about that.

Also in sports, there’s fall baseball in Fayetteville this weekend as the Diamond Hogs host their annual intrasquad matchup The Fall Classic at Baum Walker Stadium.

Not too far from Fayetteville this weekend is another music festival as well. This one’s called Hillberry at The Farm in Eureka Springs, and includes Railroad Earth, Oteil & Friends, Cory Wong, Sam Bush, Yonder Mountain Strong Band, Keller & The Keels, and several others. Here’s more about that.

There’s plenty more where that came from (the list below). Have as much fun as you can.
