Bikes, Blues & BBQ is happening in Rogers this year, but that doesn’t mean that all will be quiet in Fayetteville all weekend long as a result. Quite the opposite, actually.
Turns out, this weekend might be one of the biggest music weekends in town we’ve had in a while. Things kick off for happy hour at George’s with local legends, Earl & Them. Later on, there’s a country show with Tanner Usrey and Palmer Anthony. LA-based singer/songwriter Madison Cunningham and Kentucky band Bendigo Fletcher will perform on Saturday night. Here’s where to get tickets.
Music on the Mountain at Mount Sequoyah is back, and Friday night touring musician Mark Stuart will perform in the cottage circle on the mountain. Stuart is known for his work as part of the duo with his wife, Stacey Earle lead guitarist for folks like Freddy Fender, Steve Earle and the Dukes, Joan Baez, and Steve Forbert. Here’s ticket info.
JJ’s Live has a couple big shows this weekend as well. On Friday night, the venue will host electronic duo Hippie Sabotage along with Arkansas-born rapper, Goons Des Garcons. On Saturday, bluegrass band Old Crow Medicine Show will return to town for the first time since their performance at Fresh Grass was cancelled last year. Here’s ticket info to JJ’s Live.
There’s a vintage chopper show featuring live music, local vendors, and more happening in Fayetteville on Saturday. It’s called Hill City Rumble, and it will include performances Nick Shoulders, Ashtyn Barbaree, Dylan Earl, and Johno Leeroy at 710 S. College Ave. in south Fayetteville. Here’s more.
Also in tunes, acclaimed Springdale-born fiddle player Jenee Fleenor and an all-star group of musicians will perform at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks on Friday night. Here’s more about that.
Up north, the Momentary has a big show as well with songwriting legends Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt on Saturday night. Here’s ticket info.
Smoke & Barrel has a couple shows this weekend as well, with High Delta Riders on Friday night, and The Crumbs present: The Rocky Horror Picking Show on Saturday. Kingfish has a show on Friday night with Chucky Waggs & The Company of Raggs and Mitchell Twombley.
As we mentioned previously, Bikes, Blues & BBQ will be up in Rogers this year, and events will be concentrated around the Walmart AMP and in the downtown/Railyard Live area. Musical headliners this year include Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal, Dead Metal Society, and others. Here’s the full schedule.
The annual Square to Square Bike Ride is also this weekend, when riders will make their way from Bentonville to Fayetteville on Saturday. Here’s more.
There’s a ton more below. Have a great weekend, everyone.
