The 5th annual Miracle Travel Works Poker ride is coming up this weekend.

The bicycle poker ride event benefiting Miracle Travel Works, an organization that provides financial assistance to families seeking urgent medical treatment for seriously ill or injured children, will take place beginning at around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15 in Fayetteville.

There are two options for the ride this year. An easy 3.1-mile ride beginning at Nomad’s Trailside, and a longer 12.9-mile route beginning at Black Apple in Springdale and making its way down to the final stop at Prairie Street Live in Fayetteville.

At each starting point, riders will check in (11-11:30 p.m. at Black Apple for the long ride, or 12-12:30 p.m. at Nomad’s Trailside for the short version), get a quick presentation on the fundraiser and instructions before departing on their ride.

Stops on the ride also include Fossil cove Brewing, Columbus House Brewery and Tap Room, Powerhouse Seafood, and Prairie Street Bar & Tap, and riders will receive a playing card at each stop.

The rider with the best hand at the end will receive the grand prize, and all riders will receive free pizza at the finish line.

Registration is $40, and funds raised during the event will benefit Miracle Travel Works.
