Cheba Hut marijuana-themed sandwich shop finds Fayetteville location

(Cheba Hut)

It’s been a few years since marijuana-themed sandwich shop Cheba Hut told us of their plans to open a Fayetteville location.

Now, it appears they’ve found their spot.

According to a Facebook page that popped up recently, the restaurant will be located at 1947 N. College Avenue, in the space formerly home to Arvest Bank.

The Colorado-based chain specializes in submarine sandwiches named after marijuana strains, like “Jamaican Red,” “White Widow,” “The Kind,” “G-13,” along with “munchies” and “cottonmouth cures.”

Cheba Hut got its start in 1998, and has been growing rapidly in recent years. According to their website, there nearly 50 Cheba Hut restaurants currently open in around 14 states, including Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, California, New Mexico, Texas, Wisconsin, and others.

The chain opened their first Arkansas location in Little Rock on April 20 of this year.

Renovations of the building have been ongoing for several weeks now.

We reached out to the restaurant for information on when they hope to be up and running in Fayetteville, and we’ll update this post once we hear back from them.
