American Airlines has added a new non-stop destination from Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA), officials announced on Thursday. The carrier will offer direct flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport starting Feb. 3, 2023.

It’s the second recent announcement of a new, non-stop flight to Phoenix. Breeze Airways last month announced it will begin direct service to Phoenix on Feb. 17.

The Phoenix addition brings the total of American Airlines direct flights from XNA to eight.

“We are grateful for American Airlines’ continued partnership and interest in the Northwest Arkansas market,” said Andrew Branch, COO of XNA. “American is a dependable legacy carrier at XNA, and the addition of the nonstop to Phoenix is a route that will greatly benefit passengers across the region.”

The American Airlines service to Phoenix will be offered daily, whereas the Breeze flights are currently only offered on Mondays and Fridays.
