Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville has two fabulous exhibitions this season that are not to be missed. In the galleries, discover the museum’s first exhibition dedicated to fashion, Fashioning America: Grit to Glamour. Then, after the sun goes down, experience the spectacular Listening Forest outside along the trails. These exhibitions make for a perfect girl’s trip, friend reunion, or family holiday adventure.

In the galleries | Fashioning America: Grit to Glamour

From dresses worn by first ladies to art-inspired garments to iconic fashion moments that defined a generation, Fashioning America offers a dynamic interaction between video, imagery, and over 100 garments and accessories selected from across two centuries of fashion. The exhibition emphasizes the work of designers who immigrated to America, Native American and Black designers, as well as iconic fashion brands and their impact on visual culture in every decade. Open now through January 30, 2023. Get tickets here.

On the trails | Listening Forest by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer

Listening Forest, created by artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, uses light, sound, and projections to create an interactive, nighttime walk through the woods. This site-specific exhibition brings together eight immersive installations, each one activated by visitor participation. Visitors can add their heartbeat to a field of 3,000 lightbulbs, control giant, 20-foot-tall stick figures made of light, and more! Open now through January 1, 2023. Get tickets here.

Visitors can also enhance their Listening Forest experience with a Snow Globe reservation. This experience includes two-and-a-half hours inside a cozy, see-through snow globe dome with lights and faux fur blankets, specialty food, cocktails, and a Snow Globe Concierge. Tickets to this experience also include entry to Listening Forest. Learn more here.
