Some talented local and regional musicians will perform at a two day holiday showcase event in Fayetteville this weekend.

Local record label Gar Hole Records will host two nights of shows at the new event, called Gar Hole-iday, on Friday and Saturday night, Dec. 9 and 10 at George’s Majestic Lounge.

The event will include four Fayetteville artists on Friday night, including local songwriters Dylan Earl, Jess Harp, Willi Carlisle, and Austin Cash.

On Saturday, Fayetteville artist Nick Shoulders and his band the Okay Crawdad featuring members from New Orleans, along with Louisiana-based artists Daiquiri Queens (Lafayette), Chris Acker (New Orleans), The Lostines (Orleans, LA), and Fayetteville artist Jude Brothers will take the stage.

In addition to the George’s showcase, the label will host an afternoon show at their headquarters in the Quonset hut building located at 546 W Center Street. The afternoon show will feature artists Two Runner, Creekbed Carter, and Auralai. In addition to the music at the afternoon event, the AM/PM bar next door will be serving drinks, Yarb Apothecary will be mixing up some “herbal potions,” and Bottle Rocket Subs will serve their hand-dipped corn dogs.

The afternoon event is free to attend, but donations will be accepted for the bands.

Two day passes to the George’s showcase are $40, and single-night passes range from $20-$25.
