Winter farmers’ markets kick off Jan. 7

The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market isn’t on the square on Saturdays this time of year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get some locally grown goodness during the winter months.

Several market vendors will set up at the Fayetteville Senior Activity and Wellness Center (945 S. College Ave.) for a series of winter markets beginning Saturday, Jan. 7.

The winter markets will include seasonal produce, handcrafted items, eggs, cheese, baked goods and more.

In addition, the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market will offer online ordering for weekly curbside pickup or home delivery. Ordering is open Sunday-Wednesday, and pickups are available from the parking lot south of the Fayetteville Public Library from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

The winter markets will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. every Saturday, Jan. 7 through March 11. The farmers’ market will return to the square in the spring.
