Mark your calendar. Type a reminder into your phone. Put a post it note on your monitor. On the Map just announced another cool show.

This time, local promoter Roger Barrett has booked songwriters Fenne Lily and Christian Lee Hutson for a dual-headliner show coming to George’s this summer on Friday, June 9.

It’s the second trip to Fayetteville in under a year for Fenne Lily, who was in town performing with Illuminati Hotties and Katy Kirby at George’s back in September. The artist just announced a new album, titled Big Picture, due out on Dead Oceans in April, 2023. The new record, Lily said, “was (her) attempt at bringing some kind of order to the disaster that was 2020.”

Christian Lee Hutson, who produced tracks on Lily’s upcoming album, released his latest album, Quitters, back in April of last year. It is his fourth studio album as a solo artist, coming off the heels of his breakout 2020 release, Beginners. Hutson was a member of Los Angeles-based band The Driftwood Singers with Pearl Charles, and has also collaborated with Phobe Bridgers on numerous projects including her supergroup with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, Boy Genius, and her band with Conor Oberst, Better Oblivion Community Center.

The show in Fayetteville is part of a co-headlining tour featuring Hutson and Lily this spring and summer.

Tickets are $16, on sale now at George’s ticketing site.
