(City of Fayetteville)The city’s trash transfer station will be closed for about two months while crews work to repair the facility’s floor.
City officials said the station is expected to reopen by Monday, March 20.
In the meantime, residents are encouraged to use the Eco Vista landfill or the Boston Mountain Solid Waste facilities as disposal locations.
The Eco Vista landfill is located at 2210 Waste Management Dr. in Springdale, and the Boston Mountain facility is at 11398 Bond Road in Prairie Grove. Both locations are open to the public, as well as private trash haulers.
Just like at the city’s transfer station, vehicles are weighed upon arrival and again after being unloaded to determine the cost of disposal.
