Fayetteville Public Schools will again close in-person classes with students participating in online learning on Wednesday, Feb. 1 due to the winter weather in the region, district officials announced Tuesday afternoon.

Schools have been closed since Monday due to slick road conditions as a result of freezing rain, sleet, and snow that has fallen in the region, but students have been expected to complete assignments under the district’s Alternate Method of Instruction (AMI) protocol.

University of Arkansas will be closed on Wednesday as well. IT Services, Blackboard Help, University Recreation, Dining, the Arkansas Union and Mullins Library will operate with limited hours, officials said.
