Pardon my French, but this weather is a bunch of hooey. I said what I said.
We’ve been making an effort to post the Weekend Flyer on Thursdays lately, which opens up a whole other day of weekend events for those who are looking to get started early.
This week, for example, there’s a Frost Fest warm up party at Puritan Thursday night y’all could check out. They’ll have festival breweries on the tap wall, games, food trucks, and they’ll be raffling off tickets to the sold-out Frost Fest this year. The fun starts at 7 p.m.
Arkansas gymnastics returns to Bud Walton Arena on Friday night as the No. 18 Hogs take on the No. 2 Florida Gators at 6:45 p.m.
George’s will kick off their Friday night with a 70th birthday party for longtime local performer, Gary Hutchison. The event will include performances by Oreo Blue, The Nace Brothers, Earl Cate, and more. Later on, Ozark Riviera will perform, and they’ll host a Frost Fest afterparty on Saturday with music by Cadillac Jackson and Monk is King.
Speaking of Frost Fest, Fayetteville’s favorite winter beer festival is back after a couple years hiatus this weekend. The event includes dozens of local and regional breweries bringing some of their best and most unique brews to sample, live music by Nick Shoulders, Vintage Pistol, and the Phlegms, and more. Hopefully y’all already got your tickets to this one. It’s completely sold out.
JJ’s Live has a 90s Hip Hop party on Friday night. Rumps will be shaken.
Speaking of shaking rumps, French DJ Monty will perform at West & Watson Friday night. Here’s a bit more.
TheatreSquared’s new show Kim’s Convenience is playing in downtown Fayetteville, and we’ve heard raves about the new comedy. Here’s where to get tickets to that one.
There’s more below. Hopefully some warmer temperatures this weekend will thaw us out of this mess very soon. Be safe, buds.
