Farm-to-table dinner and pitch competition planned on Mount Sequoyah

Tickets include a five-course meal with complimentary drink pairings.

 

An upcoming farm-to-table dinner and pitch competition will showcase the work of farmers and caterers from around the state.

Cureate, a woman-owned small business that offers courses and other educational programs for food and beverage entrepreneurs, will host the event at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at the Mount Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville.

Attendees will be served a five-course meal made from local ingredients while learning about the growth goals of Arkansas entrepreneurs and their businesses. A select panel of judges will evaluate each pitch and award $5,000 to one business per cohort.

“Our goal is to empower these entrepreneurs to scale their operations while connecting them with a wider community of food and beverage professionals,” said Kim Bryden, CEO of Cureate.

The event is supported by FORGE, a non-profit organization that provides access to capital and business development services, and is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Walton Family Foundation.
