The Artists 360 program, which provides grants for local artists, will return for a sixth year when the application period opens next month.

The Mid-America Arts Alliance program is made possible from support by the Walton Family Foundation. Its aim is to identify and elevate the region’s leading artists.

The program began in 2018 as a three-year pilot that provded grants to 60 artists of all disciplines. It was renewed and expanded to include additional grants in 2021.

The program provides grants of $7,500 to 14 practicing professional artists, and $1,500 grants to six student artists. It also provides five $15,000 community activator grants for artists or artist-led collectives, and a $25,000 creative impact award to an individual artist in the region.

This year’s program will also include a series of free professional development workshops and information sessions, which will feature tips on grant writing and the submission process.

Applications open on May 1 and run through June 28, 2023. Artists must live in either Benton County, Carroll County, Crawford County Sebastian County or Washington County to be eligible for a grant.
