A Fayetteville cupcake shop that has been open for nearly 15 years will soon close its doors for good.

According to a post on their Facebook page, Bliss Cupcake Cafe will close their Fayetteville location on Joyce Boulevard on May 25. The company’s Rogers location will also close.

From the announcement:

Gratitude! Gratitude is the word that comes to mind as we announce that May 25th will be the last day Bliss will be open in Fayetteville and Rogers. We are so thankful for a community that has supported our little cupcake shop for 14 years. We are incredible grateful for all the employees who have baked or served cupcakes, macarons, Bliss for Pups, cookie sandwiches, and so many more delectable Bliss creations over the years.

According to the post, the owners decided to give customers plenty of time to use their gift cards, and plenty of notice to get their cupcake fix before the restaurant closes for good.

The original Bliss Cupcake Cafe opened at 112 W. Center Street in Nov. of 2009. The original owner, Shelley Cassar sold the restaurant to Jason and Lacey Carney  in Jan. of 2011, and current owners Flint and Rebekah Harris’ bought a share of the business in Nov. of 2011.

The restaurant opened their current location at 637 Joyce Boulevard in the spring of 2012.

Bliss locations in Jonesboro and Fort Smith will remain open, Harris said.
