(Flyer photo)A new coffee shop is in the works near midtown Fayetteville.
The new shop, called Word Coffee, is set to soon open at 816 N. College Ave., in the space formerly home to Friendly Liquor.
According to the website for the business, the shop seeks to “bring a quality cup of coffee to everyone, while holding to the value of a living wage for all involved.”
The shop will serve coffee, tea, pastries and some other light food options.
A Google listing for the shop indicates it will open sometime this fall.
Owner Giovanni Roberts said the company is working through the SBA process at the moment.
“Lord willing we are still planning for a August open,” Roberts said.
