John Cusack coming to Fayetteville this fall

Actor John Cusack will host a screening of the cult classic film Sixteen Candles at Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville this fall.

The film, set for 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, will be followed by a live conversation with Cusack.

The event is part of a series of appearances Cusack has planned this year, which include screenings of some of his other popular movies like “Say Anything,” “High Fidelity,” and “Grosse Pointe Blank.”

Aside from those films, Cusack has enjoyed a career that spans four decades and more than 70 movies across a variety of genres including dramas, thrillers, and comedies like The Grifters, Eight Men Out, Stand By Me, Con Air and Being John Malkovich. He most recently appeared in the Amazon sci-fi series Utopia.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19 and range from $69.95-$119.95 plus fees. Tickets will be available at waltonartscenter.org or by calling 479-443-5600.
