It’s almost time for one of the biggest parties of the year at Fayetteville Public Library.

The library will celebrate the beginning of its summer reading club with the annual kickoff party from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3.

This year’s event will include a host of family-friendly activities, including bounce houses, face painting, stilt walkers, juggling, bubbles, games and food on the library’s new Gathering Glade on the west side of the campus.

In addition, there will be performances by local musician Mr. Troy at 10 a.m. in the Art & Movement Room, and a magic show by magician Scott Davis at 12:30 p.m. in the event center.

Other activities include an appearance by the Fayetteville Fire Department, face painting, airbrush tattoos, a photo booth, story time, and more.

The theme for this year’s event is “All Together Now.”

The library will also be enrolling for the annual summer reading program, which encourages children, teens and adults to keep reading during the summer months.
