If there was a time capsule that could represent 2009 as a whole, it would have to include “Up in the Air.”
In the end, it’s still that hollow musical that came out in the early eighties. It’s fun, it’s enjoyable and it’s beautiful. But at best, it’s more like a 6 or a 6.5.
