Inclement Weather Schedule for Fayetteville’s Waste Collection

Fayetteville, AR – Due to dangerous conditions on roads and parking lots, the Solid Waste and Recycling Division has canceled all commercial and residential solid waste, recycling and yardwaste collections for Saturday, February 5th, 2011.

Residential and commercial routes will resume when road conditions improve to allow safe collections to occur. We will evaluate road conditions Monday, February 7th, to determine if we can run routes on Monday. If at all possible, we will run normal Monday routes. We will post daily press releases with updates on our web site: www.accessfayetteville.org. All residents are encouraged to pull their trash carts and recycling bins back to their homes and place out the week of February 7th on their normal collection day.

For the week of February 7th, there will be no extra bag charges applied for those routes that were missed the previous week, and customers do not need to use extra bag stickers.

For commercial dumpsters, any overflow should be placed to the side of the container rather than in front of the container. This greatly facilitates faster and more tidy pickup.

The Transfer Station and Compost Facility will be closed on Saturday, February 5th.

Due to the increased trash collection required, there will be no yard waste collection the week of February 7, 2011.

If you have any questions about your solid waste and recycling services please view information posted on the City’s website at www.accessfayetteville.org.
