Ales & Tails crawfish festival set for April 1

Mudbugs, crawfish, crayfish, crawdads, and freshwater lobsters.

It doesn’t matter what you call them, it’s almost that time of year where folks all over the south will be huddled around a table full of the little suckers and chowing down. Here in Fayetteville, we even have a little annual festival devoted to them.

We’re taking about Ales & Tales, the crawfish festival created by the folks behind local restaurants Cafe Rue Orleans and Jammin’ Java set for Saturday, April 1 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Tickets are $45, and include all-you-can-eat crawfish, potatoes, and corn. Local craft beers will also be available to purchase at the event.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Lib Horne Animal Shelter and Humane Society of Ozarks. Kids 12 and under get in free.

The event is scheduled from 2-7 p.m., and crawfish will be served from 2-5 p.m.

Live music will be provided by local bands, Second Line Strings and Rachel B. Table for 3.
