This area shares our mission of working together as OneCommunity.”

ArkanSalsa is an art and music festival created to raise money for scholarships while celebrating one another. Outdoor performances of music and dancing will take place every 30 minutes throughout the day. The festival will also include a car show and a salsa dancing competition. ArkanSalsa is a family friendly event and encourages families with children to attend. A kid’s corner will provide face painting, kids drumming, entertainment by Papa Rap and DJ Torres, Zumba Ladies, Dancenhance and appearances by Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Mambo Kid and Bobolin the Clown. Additionally, Razorback fans can view the game while attending the festival.

OneCommunity was founded in Northwest Arkansas in 2009. The organization “promotes communities working together as One, to enhance the quality of life of all people through use of best practices and outreach services that improve health, education, and leadership skills.” The organization collaborates and builds partnerships with local school districts, parents, media, and many other organizations to enhance the quality of all people.

The organization is committed to young people, parents, educators, community members and leaders and fosters pro-social relationships, engages in community building efforts and embeds a sense of hope for the future with a vision of a community working together as One. For example, by collaborating with the Arkansas Coalition for Excellence (ACE), 14 current and new non-profit organizations were assisted through the Arkansas Latino and Marshallese Nonprofit Leadership Academy under the guidance of the Center for Leadership Innovation. OneCommunity would like to thank their major sponsors: La Huerta Mexican Restaurants, George’s Majestic, Fayetteville Visitors Bureau, EZ Spanish Media, Frager Bush Law Firm and NWA Media.
