Arkansauce added to Gulley Park Concert Series lineup

( Arkansauce)

Local band Arkansauce was on the stage a couple years ago at one of the most crowded Gulley Park Concert Series performances we’ve ever seen, and it looks like the band will be back for a repeat performance this year.

The local progressive bluegrass group will perform as part of this summer’s concert series on Thursday, June 22, according to the band’s website.

The group appears to be filling the slot on the calendar originally billed as ‘Special Guest’ when this year’s lineup was released.

The appearance at Gulley Park will be a stop on the band’s upcoming summer tour that will take them around the country, from Colorado, New Orleans, North Carolina, and several stops in between.

The band will be out to promote their new album Ok to Wonder, released earlier this year.

For those unfamiliar, the concert series is organized by the city’s Parks & Recreation Department, and features free outdoor live music with plenty of room for picnic blankets and lawn chairs throughout the fields surrounding the gazebo stage at Gulley Park in east Fayetteville.

The music starts at 7 p.m., and the concerts are free and open to the public. Coolers are welcome for those who’d like to pack snacks or dinner, but food vendors are also usually set up around the park.
