Artist and frontman for the band The Flaming Lips will be in Springdale for a demonstration of his ‘spin art’ this weekend.

According to a media release issued this week, Wayne Coyne will be at Arts Center of the Ozarks producing pieces of art for the demonstration from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The event is free to attend, and open to the public, but in order to manage the crowd, would-be-attendees are being aksed to sign up for a 20 minute time slot via the Arts Center of the Ozark website.

Coyne’s installation “The King’s Mouth” has been on display at the ACO since mid-July, and will remain on display through the event. In addition to his work, the show also features work by local artists Kat Wilson, Dillon Dooms and Sasha Rayevskiy (read our story about the exhibit here.)
