They’re blue. They’re weird. They’re the Blue Man Group, and they’re coming back to town this summer.

The hybrid comedy, theatre, and music show featuring the odd blue fellows will be at Walton Arts Center for five shows in three days June 3-5.

As those who’ve had the opportunity to catch one of the group’s performances over the years can attest, their act can be a bit difficult to describe.

Those same show-goers might also testify to the group’s brilliance. They bang on things. They dance. There’s paint and light and wonderful strangeness.

Now approaching their 25th year of creativity, this artistic group is continually updating and refreshing Blue Man shows with new music, fresh stories, custom instruments and state-of-the-art technology, and this new show is no exception.

“We really like to keep things fresh and vibrant,” said Blue Man Group co-founder Chris Wink. “For almost 25 years, although the content within the show varies, the mission of every Blue Man Group show has remained the same – to bring the collective audience together with the Blue Men for a euphoric celebration, a heightened state of being alive.”

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 26, and prices range from $40 to $80 plus applicable fees.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Walton Arts Center’s Box Office at 479-443-5600, or at tickets.waltonartscenter.org.
