The Walton Arts Center will host “Broadway’s Next Hit Musical” at 7 p.m. on March 18 and 19, 2021.

The show is described as an evening of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” meets The Tony Awards, in that it’s all improvised and completely different each night.

Tickets are $25 plus applicable fees and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27.

During the performance, audience members are asked to make up song titles, and five improv actors turn them into “nominated songs” with choreography and catchy melodies as they vie for the coveted Phony Award. The audience votes for their favorite song, and then watches as the cast turns it into a an improvised musical.

The performances will be in Baum Walker Hall with a minimum of four empty seats between parties, and every other row will remain empty. The empty rows, with select seats removed, will also serve as walkways to seats located in the center of the theater, reducing contact between patrons. Masks will be required and social distancing will be enforced.
