The dates are set, and the initial lineup has been released for the third installment of FreshGrass at the Momentary next spring.

Ohio-based folk group Caamp, along with Mavis Staples, Sierra Ferrell, Del McCoury Band, and more will perform at the event, set for the weekend of May 19-20 at the performance venue in Bentonville.

Several of the headliners at this year’s event will be familiar to music lovers in the region. Caamp was at JJ’s Live back in February, Sierra Ferrell was in Eureka Springs also last February, and Staples and McCoury have been regulars on the Fayetteville Roots Festival lineup in recent years.

In addition, New Orleans based band (and NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest winners from 2017) Tank and the Bangas, Cuban artist Cimafunk, Montana-based band The Lil Smokies, Connecticut banjo player and Union Station band member Alison Brown, country singer Miko Marks and singer songwriter Willie Watson (also a Roots Fest vet) are also on the bill.

A few local acts made the lineup as well, including Fayetteville-based bluegrass band Arkansauce, and Arkansas singer-songwriters Melissa Carper and Willi Carlisle.

Yonder Mountain String Band mandolinist Jacob Jolliff’s new project and Latin roots act Combo Chimbita are on the initial lineup as well, and officials say more artists will be announced soon.

Tickets to the festival went on sale today. Two-day general admission passes are $110 for adults and $88 for Momentary members. Kids 6 and under get in free. VIP options are also available.
